John J. Murphy
President & Senior Partner
John has been a member of KABACK since 1979, where he started as the company's Controller. In 1983, John was made Partner by Sy Kaback. John accepted Sy's desire to retire and executed a management buy-out in 1992, along with Vice President Donald Murphy and Vice President Vance Schipani PE.
John has worked in every aspect of the business and enjoys an impeccable reputation for his passion towards KABACK's commitment to excellence and complete customer satisfaction. John has led KABACK's continuous year-over-year business growth and takes pride in achieving a six-fold increase since assuming the position of KABACK's President. John is most proud that he has been able to accomplish KABACK's business expansion while maintaining quality service. KABACK's success is attributed to its outstanding leadership, premier project management, well-trained technicians and detail-oriented administrative team. KABACK's personnel devote themselves to customer service, quality workmanship, professionalism and personal integrity.
John is a graduate of Iona College, Class of 1976. John has been and continues to be actively involved several philanthropic organizations. In 2007, John was the head of the fundraising committee for the successful effort to build a Church for the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity in Mexico. John is the current Chairman of the Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens annual golf outing. John has served on the Board of St. Agnes Hospital and the Carvel Children's Rehabilitation Center.

Donald M. Murphy
Vice President & Partner
Donald joined KABACK in 1984 and became Partner in 1989. Donald leads KABACK's operations and has overseen the successful installation of more than 3,000 systems. Donald has been the project executive on many of KABACK's most complicated and challenging projects; including the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management, 7 World Trade Center, Random House's Headquarters. Donald's extensive background with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has made him proficient in the industries' most stringent rules and regulations.
Donald is a graduate of Pace University. Prior to joining KABACK, Donald worked on Wall Street for Securities Settlement and the Law Firm of Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett. Currently, Donald serves on the board of The Children's Dream Foundation.

Vance F. Schipani
Vice President & Partner
Vance joined KABACK in 1979 and became partner in 1988. Vance leads KABACK's engineering department and has been responsible for KABACK attaining its distinguished reputation as one of the mechanical industry's best HVAC technical services groups. Vance led the team that performed due diligence for Silverstein Properties successful bid for and acquisition of the World Trade Center's 99-year land lease. Additionally, Vance and KABACK's technical service team consulted Silverstein Properties with the HVAC Systems in 7 World Trade Center, one of the first LEED Green Building Certified assets in New York City. An expert in HVAC value engineering, Vance is regarded as one of the best HVAC engineers in New York and actively consults with top-tier engineering firms.
Vance is a graduate of Pratt Institute, where he was a member of Pi Tau Sigma and Tau Beta Pi Mechanical Engineering Honor Societies. Vance is a licensed Project Engineer in the State of New York and is also a member of ASHRAE. Prior to joining KABACK, Vance worked for AT&T Technologies, where he engineered the manufacturing, assembly and packages of Integrated Circuits.
